The Faculty of Arts and Letters was founded in Jerusalem in 1982. Since that time, the Faculty has expanded considerably, currently offering 14 specializations at the BA level and three at the MA level. Additionally, five Community Service Centers were opened to extend the Faculty’s activities into public sphere, providing valuable community services and supplementary hands-on experience for the Faculty’s students.
The Faculty of Arts and Letter’s Departments and Centers are located at various University sites in Jerusalem and Abu Dis. The Faculty incorporates two primary campuses: The Hind El-Husseini Women’s College and the Co-educational College of Beit Hanina. These two campuses offer alternatives in location and also provide for the preferences of the area’s diverse community.
